Shameless Media
Camp Shameless Saga
In 2022, I was part of a radical act of solidarity. After running an emergency warming station at a church for months, activists from FIRST Collective helped homeless Columbus, Ohio residents establish an encampment on the Near East Side. This encampment remained in place from early March to mid-September and was a source of incredible solidarity.
Though I am in the process of writing about the experience, I haven't begun to properly tell my story. In lieu of that, here is an assortment of media covering Camp Shameless, ensuing harassment campaign, and recent developments related to the former site on East Mound Street.
